After a brief and controversial stint on Love & Marriage: Huntsville, Sunni Minx has confirmed she and her husband, Moses Monroe, will not return for another season. The announcement follows Minx’s one-season tenure, which saw her join the cast to address her marriage to longtime cast member Destiny Payton’s ex-boyfriend.
Monroe and Payton had an on-and-off relationship spanning over a decade and rekindled their romance after Payton’s split from her ex-husband, LeBerrick Williams. Monroe, however, never appeared on the show during their relationship, even opting out of reunion appearances. Months after Monroe and Payton reportedly ended things, Minx surprised the cast—and fans—by announcing her marriage to Monroe after just 90 days of dating. Payton claimed Minx had previously been her producer, manager, and personal friend, accusations Minx denied, stating Payton was unable to separate personal and professional matters.
Minx and Monroe’s presence on the show was met with significant scrutiny from both cast members and viewers. Tensions escalated as their backstory unfolded on-screen.
The reunion for this season has already been taped, but Monroe is currently serving an 11-month sentence for a reported probation violation. Authorities allege he failed to inform his probation officer about traveling from Missouri to Alabama to film the show. Despite the challenges, Minx remains supportive of her husband.
Minx shared the news of her departure from the show during an Instagram Live session, later reported by Urban Belle Mag. “No guys, I will not be on Love & Marriage: Huntsville. So there’s your answer to that. We will not be on Love & Marriage: Huntsville moving forward after this season. We will be living our real lives after this season,” she said. Minx added, “When this season’s over, and you see us in the next few episodes and at the reunion, I will explain some of those reasons.”
Minx emphasized her desire to focus on the future and live authentically outside the lens of reality television.
