The fourth season of Sweet Magnolias is finally on its way!
Netflix has announced the fourth season of the hit dramedy starring Heather Headley, JoAnna Garcia Swisher and Brook Elliott will come in 2025. Executive produced by showrunner Sheryl J. Anderson, the series is based on the Sweet Magnolias book series by Sherryl Woods. This season also finds Swisher behind the scenes as one of the series directors as well as acting as one of the main cast.
The fourth season follows the four friends, Maddie, Sue, Helen and Dana as they traverse the ups and downs of life and love. According to the series synopsis:
Come spend the holidays in Serenity, as Season 4 of Sweet Magnolias takes us from Halloween to Christmas, with surprising laughter, unexpected heartbreak, and renewed resolve along the way. While negotiating the twists and turns of their romantic lives, Maddie, Dana Sue, and Helen must also navigate the return of old foes, the loss of great loves, and the pain of transition from past dreams to present ones. As the men in their lives pursue their own dreams and the teenagers take uneasy steps toward adulthood, the Magnolias support each other with creative problem-solving, deep-hearted commitment, and — as always — weekly margaritas.
The series also stars Logan Allen, Anneliese Judge, Carson Rowland, Dion Johnstone, Brandon Quinn, Jamie Lynn Spears and Chris Medlin with Justin Bruening.
Along with serving as showrunner and executive producer, Anderson also serves as part of the writing team and series developer. Other executive producers include Woods and Dan Paulson, with Matt Drake and Norman Buckley co-executive producing.
While you might have to wait until February to watch the new season, you can listen to songs from the show already. Dylan Rysstad’s “Margarita Christmas” is available to stream on Spotify. Headley’s rendition of “O Come, All Ye Faithful” will also be available on Spotify Dec. 20 at 12 am ET, but you can listen to it on YouTube now.
The new season will drop Feb. 6, 2025.
