The long-awaited seventh season of The Real Housewives of Miami has finally dropped its Season 7 trailer.

Guerdy Abraira, Lisa Hochstein, Julia Lemigova, Alexia Nepola and Larsa Pippen are the returning housewives, with Stephanie Shojaee joining Season 7 as a new housewife. Kiki Barth, Adriana de Moura and Marysol Patton return for Season 7 as Friends. As depicted in the trailer, Nicole Martin, who starred in Seasons 4-6, is guest-starring this season.

The 29-year-old daughter of actor Robert De Niro has come out as transgender in a new interview. Airyn opened up after tabloids shared the news before she could. She reflected on her upbringing outside of the limelight, as well as the inspiration she hopes to provide to others by sharing her experience as a trans woman.

On March 19, Airyn was photographed by paparazzi with long pink locs and tabloids announced her identity as a trans woman. The 29-year-old was not in control of how the news broke and even noticed inconsistencies in the information The Daily Mail and other outlets were sharing.

“They just sort of reminded me that people really don’t know anything about me,” she told Them.

“There’s a difference between being visible and being seen,” Airyn added. “I’ve been visible. I don’t think I’ve been seen yet.”

She sees herself as a “late bloomer” and often felt different than her peers growing up. Airyn said she felt like she “stood out like a sore thumb” because she was “a bigger-bodied person” in a “relatively thin or fit” family.

Although her parents were accepting of her queerness, social beauty standards still had affected her.

“I was always told I was too much of something or not enough of something growing up: Too big, not skinny enough. Not Black enough, not white enough. Too feminine, not masculine enough,” Airyn said. “It was never just, ‘You’re just right, just the way you are.’” 

“Obviously no parent is perfect, but I am grateful that both my parents agreed to keep me out of the limelight,” Airyn added. “They have told me they wanted me to have as much of a normal childhood as possible.”

She started hormone therapy in November 2024 and said she found inspiration in Black women like Laverne Cox and Raven-Symoné.

“I’d want to hopefully be an inspiration for at least one other person like me who is Black, who is queer, who’s not a size extra small,” she said. “I’d want to see more trans women, more Black women who are maybe bigger-bodied or don’t fit the mold of super thin or heroin chic.”

Airyn’s studies as a mental health counselor are a testimony to her dedication and commitment to advocacy.

“People of color and queer people definitely need more mental health advocacy and support,” she said. “So I’m hoping I’m able to do that.”

Airyn is one of De Niro’s seven children. He shares Airyn and her twin brother Julian with the actress Toukie Smith.

President Donald Trump is doubling down on his claims that Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was mistakenly deported to El Salvador despite court orders, is affiliated with the MS13 gang. He shared a photograph of the man’s hand tattoos online, but experts say it appears to have been digitally altered. Others point that tattoos do not constitute proof of gang affiliation.

In late March, Abrego Garcia was deported to CECOT, a mega-prison in El Salvador. As Blavity reported, he moved to the U.S. to flee gang violence and had been living in Maryland under legal status with his American wife and their child.

Although the Trump administration admitted to his deportation as an “administrative error,” the president has made repeated claims that Abrego Garcia is a member of the MS13 gang. He has also refused to bring him back to the U.S. despite an unanimous Supreme Court order.

Trump shared a photograph of Abrego Garcia’s tattooed knuckles on his Truth Social platform on April 18. His hand allegedly includes a tattoo on each finger, including a marijuana leaf, a smiley face with the letter X for eyes, a cross and a skull. The photograph also shows the letters “M”, “S”, “1”, and a “3” above each tattoo in small printed typeface. 

“That was photoshopped,” Terry Moran of ABC News told Trump during an April 29 interview, according to Al Jazeera.

“Terry, do you want me to show you the picture?” Trump insisted. “He had M, S as clear as you can be. Not interpreted.”

Trump added that Abrego Garcia’s tattoos were used as evidence to deport him.

The MS13 tattoos do not appear on recent photographs of Abrego Garcia, including a family photograph shared by immigration advocates, as well as one shared by Salvadoran government officials on April 17, according to Al Jazeera. 

Some experts have cast doubt as to whether the tattoos are real and if the photograph shared by Trump was digitally altered.

Abrego Garcia has no record of being involved in a gang. His alleged MS13 tattoos are also not used by current gang members, according to Maya Barak, an associate professor of criminal justice studies at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, as well as insiders.

“As with other gang subcultures in the U.S., MS-13 gang culture has been somewhat commodified and become part of popular culture,” she told CBS News.

Symbols and tattoos are “notoriously difficult to interpret,” Roberto Lovato, an assistant professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, added.

Bishop T.D. Jakes is handing the pulpit of his Dallas-based megachurch, The Potter’s House, to his daughter and son-in-law, who will serve as the new lead pastors. In July 1996, Jakes opened the doors to what would catapult his ministerial gift on a global scale and grow into a recognized church that reaches the masses. Since then, he’s authored several best-selling books, produced films, traveled the world, met and worked with presidents, and much more.

On April 27, Jakes preached his last sermon as the official pastor of the church he created from the ground up. At the end of his teaching, in a sentimental speech to his congregation, he announced that he would be stepping aside and passing the reigns of his The Potter’s House to his daughter, Sarah Jakes Roberts, and her husband, Tourè Roberts. 

“What you gotta understand is it’s not so important that you just know when to grab ahold, it’s knowing when to let go,” Jakes said when he revealed in his speech. “I cannot afford to let all the work of all the saints, living and dead, to hold this so tight so long that I wither away. So, I’m suggesting to you that you receive Pastor Toure and Pastor Sarah.”

Although it was a shock, it wasn’t a surprise as it’s been years in the making: “In 2022, a handshake between generations took place as we said farewell to Woman, Thou Art Loosed and hello to Woman Evolve. And when we installed our two new assistant pastors in 2023, we continued to forge ahead in the vision we set long ago,” Jakes wrote in an open letter about the transition on his church’s website, which he also shared on Instagram. “Today marks the continuation of our willingness to evolve as a church and step into broader roles to make certain we continue to meet the needs of this sensitive moment in our collective history.”

In a statement about the next chapter for The Potter’s House and beyond, Jakes emphasized the broader impact this leadership transition will have.

“As Pastors Touré & Sarah take another step up to further accept the mantle of daily ministry duties at The Potter’s House of Dallas ushering in a new movement and calling, the work of the T.D. Jakes Group to bolster job creation and 21st century workforce readiness, investing in the infrastructure of communities nationwide, lifting communities up from the margins to the center and working alongside like-minded partners to create thriving neighborhoods will be able to accelerate rapidly,” he explained in his statement.

Reflecting on the magnitude of the moment, Tourè shared a few heartfelt words about what he was feeling.

“I feel really deeply humbled in this moment. I feel more than anything a sense of responsibility to encapsulalize how I feel in this moment. It’s sober, it’s reverent, it’s holy,” he said.

“I believe that collectively that we could turn this city upside down and right side up, and that what happens in Dallas will overflow and saturate the state of Texas,” Sarah said about the new era. “I believe that this nation will be changed for the collective anointing. Get ready, get ready, get ready, get ready!”

According to NBC DFW, Jakes will continue to serve as chairman of the board and spiritual leader of The Potter’s House.
