Michael Jackson‘s only daughter, Paris Jackson, is firing back at fans who slammed her for scheduling a performance on the anniversary of her father’s death.

Paris posted a video message to her Instagram story and told people that she didn’t have any control of the schedule.

“One of the tour dates I’m supposed to be going out on tour with Incubus and Manchester Orchestra happens to be June 25, which is a very negative anniversary for me in my life and my family,” Paris said, according to Deadline. “When you’re first of three, and you’re not headlining these shows, you don’t pick what date you perform or what time you go on stage to perform, or what city you perform in.”

Paris also said she doesn’t get any special treatment as the additional opening act.

“First of three also doesn’t get a tour bus,” she said. “You get maybe a sprinter van, which I’ve done before when I’ve got a band with me. But I’m not going to have my band with me this time.”

Paris said she will only have her acoustic guitar and fiancé Justin Long, who happens to be her sound guy.

“So we’re gonna be in a soccer mum van,” she said. “This feels like [Incubus is] doing me a favour by bringing me out on tour. So [what], I’m gonna tell ’em, ’Sorry, guys, we can’t perform on this date?’”

Paris closed her message with a “F**k you.”

At 50, Michael Jackson died on June 25, 2009, from cardiac arrest, leaving behind three children, Prince, Paris and Bigi (formerly known as Blanket).

“My dad was really good about making sure we were cultured, making sure we were educated, and not just showing us like the glitz and glam, like hotel hopping, five-star places,” Paris said about being raised by the King of Pop.

Vance Luther Boelter, the suspect accused of carrying out a deadly attack on state senators and lawmakers on Saturday, allegedly had a long list of Minnesota Democrats he was targeting.

Law enforcement sources told ABC News that Boelter’s list, which was found in his car, included Gov. Tim Walz, U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar, U.S. Sen. Tina Smith and state attorney general Keith Ellison. The shooter also named abortion providers and pro-choice activists on his list, per ABC News.

What happened on Saturday when Vance Luther Boelter allegedly carried out the attack?

Boelter allegedly carried out the attacks around 2 a.m. on Saturday, targeting the homes of State Rep. Melissa Hortman and State Sen. John Hofmann. Police said the gunman first went to the home of Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, in Champlin, Minnesota and shot them both multiple times. Hofmann was wounded in the shooting, according to police.

After responding to the shooting at Hoffmann’s home, police went to the nearby town of Brooklyn Park to check on on Hortman, who was also on the suspect’s list. Officers said that’s when they saw the shooter exiting Hortman’s house while he was dressed as a police officer. After exchanging gunfire with officers, the suspect escaped on foot, police said. Hortman and her husband were killed in the shooting at the house.

Who is Vance Luther Boelter?

According to his bio, Boelter spent part of his career working for a private security firm. Per ABC News, the bio states that Boelter was “involved with security situations in Eastern Europe, Africa, North America and the Middle East, including the West Bank, Southern Lebanon and the Gaza Strip.”

While he’s exact political affiliation is unknown, in 2016, Boelter transitioned to politics, becoming appointed to the Minnesota Governor’s Workforce Development Board, which analyzes and recommends policy to the governor. After working for then-Gov. Mark Dayton, Boelter was reappointed by Gov. Tim Waltz in 2019.

Residents in the Wisconsin city where the late veteran Anna Mae Robertson lived for a significant fraction of her life are requesting that she be acknowledged following her death.

As Blavity reported, the former Women’s Army Corps soldier died at the age of 101 in May. The idea to commemorate her legacy and contribution to America’s armed forces is supported by U.S. Rep. Gwen Moore. On June 6, Moore introduced a bill to rename the Department of Veterans Affairs women’s health clinic in Milwaukee to the Anna Mae Robertson VA Well Woman Clinic. 

Why does Moore hope to rename the VA Affairs hospital?

Robertson was one of the 855 women in the all-Black women’s unit, part of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, also known as the “Six Triple Eight.” The group of women was tasked with resolving the mailing backlog that arose during World War II. Additionally, they were the only Black women’s group deployed to Europe. Via their collaborative operational methods, Six Triple Eight mailed out 17 million letters in just three months; as such, fellow U.S. Army service members were able to reconnect with their loved ones via mail.

After Robertson’s time in the army, she moved to Milwaukee from Arkansas and became a nurse at Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center. Moore wanted to commemorate the significant role she and the assembly of women played in American history.

“It seemed appropriate to me that as a member of the storied ‘Six Triple Eight,’ and of course a member of the Milwaukee community who worked at Zablocki Veterans Center … to name the women’s health clinic in Milwaukee as the Anna Mae Robertson VA Well Women Clinic,” Moore shared with Wisconson Public Radio, according to Black Enterprise.

In a news release published online by the government official’s office, Moore stated that it was a no-brainer to celebrate Robertson because she had planted roots in Milwaukee. According to Afro News, she and her husband, fellow WWII veteran John Robertson, had eight children.

“This legislation honors the memory and service of Mrs. Anna Mae Robertson, who served our country honorably and called Milwaukee her home for decades. Through this effort, even more people will learn about her legacy and the incredible story of the Six Triple Eight,” Moore said, per the news release.

Honoring the heroes who are “Six Triple Eight”

In 2022, Biden passed the H.R. 1012, the “Six Triple Eight” Congressional Gold Medal Act of 2021. Moore submitted the bill to commemorate the significant role women played in American history and was backed by 296 of her colleagues. On April 29, 2025, one month before Robertson’s death, she received the medal during a ceremony in Emancipation Hall at the U.S. Capitol.

Robertson’s daughter, Sheree Robertson, agreed that the veteran’s affairs clinic being named after her mother would be the perfect way to keep to her name alive.

“I think it is only fitting that they name [the] women’s clinic after my mother, so everyone who goes to that clinic would know about my mother’s history, her life, the story of the Six Triple Eight,” Robertson told The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel in an interview.

The bill was referred to the House Committee on Veterans Affairs for the first stage of the review process and is under review.

Simon Guobadia, the ex and estranged husband of The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams, is speaking out after his release from ICE custody and deportation to Nigeria. Speaking to Us Weekly, Guobadia said his four-month detainment was a nightmare.

Guobadia said ICE agents approached him when he was returning to the U.S. after spending time overseas. The 61-year-old, who was going through a divorce at the time, said he was coming back to the country to attend a hearing for his case. According to Guobadia, about seven agents got on the plane and escorted him off. The agents, he said, asked several questions about his business and travel history.

“And then they asked me to turn over my devices,” Guobadia said, adding that they took his laptop and two phones.

“So I had everything on me, literally a mobile office. [They] took those from me and [I] gave them passcodes so they could do their forensic investigation, [if] you will,” he told Us. “After that, they basically came and told me that I was being detained and that they would be taking me in, and I’ll be seeing a judge at some point. So they slapped the cuffs on and I was taken away.”

The detainment happened “a day or two before the premiere of Season 16” of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

“It felt like a target. It felt like a target because they had no reason [and] it felt like a target on a number of fronts,” Guobadia said. “One, for sure, is the new administration and new administration policies, they’ve heightened their targets apparently as agents are waiting, looking through flight [logs] for names that may have popped up on their radar and take them into custody.”

Guobadia suspects divorce drama led to deportation

Guobadia also told Us that he suspects Williams or someone close to her may have alerted ICE.

“I expected that I’m in a contentious divorce, and it’s not just one individual I’m dealing with,” he said. “I am dealing with those behind her, the powers behind her that, obviously, would like to see her succeed and ensure that the investment in this person will come to fruition. So I was not totally oblivious to the possibilities of … some interference.”

Inside Sione Guobadia’s time in protective custody

Fighting back tears, Guobadia opened up about his experience at the detention center.

’I was transported to a detention center that I don’t recall the name right now, to be housed overnight and went through that experience [of] taking my regular street clothes off and having to put on inmate clothes,” he said. “I’m sorry. There are a lot of things that I kind of bottled up for a while. So this interview is the first time I’m truly speaking out about the experience.”

Later, at Stewart Detention Center, Guobadia said he was taken in with his hands and feet in cuffs. While he was eventually able to call his family, he noted that contact isn’t immediate.

“This thing is designed [so that] it’s not like you’re arrested and you’re immediately given time to call,” he said. “It could take a while, and sometimes it could take days before you’re able to reach your family.”

When officers realized he was a public figure, Guobadia said he was placed in protective custody, where he was only allowed one hour outside per day.

“I understood why people would kill themselves, but I’m too strong to do that. But I understand why people, when you [are] put in a certain mental headspace, you start to understand why people do what they do,” he said.

Although now back in Nigeria, Guobadia plans to relocate to Dubai, where he previously lived. The 61-year-old also said he is making plans to reunite with his children.

Harley-Davidson Motor Company is recalling more than 82,000 motorcycles due to tire issues. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the company recalled its 2018–2024 Softail models after discovering that the mounting tab on the rear shock pre-load adjuster can break and cause tire damage.

“A sudden loss of tire pressure increases the risk of a crash,” NHTSA said in a statement, per 9 News.
